While the roots of Wildlife Dynamics extend back to 2005, we were officially founded in 2023 by Dr Jake Wall.

As a social purpose enterprise, Wildlife Dynamics is applying to become a certified B-Corporation as it grows its team and operations globally. We have team members in East Africa and in Canada, and will be recruiting the best talent

Founder and CEO. Dr Jake Wall.
​Dr. Jake Wall completed an undergraduate degree in physics and then a master’s degree in geography at Queen’s University in Canada, specializing in remote sensing of the Canadian arctic. He began work with Save the Elephants in 2003 and completed a PhD in geography at the University of British Columbia in 2015 studying the geospatial analysis of African elephant movement. He and his family lived for five years in the Maasai Mara where Jake was Director of Research and Conservation for the Mara Elephant Project. Jake is the founder, and now, project leader for Ecoscope on behalf of the Allen Institute for AI. He is also the co-founder of the EarthRanger platform and established Wildlife Dynamics in 2024 as a means to provide technical expertise and training in geospatial analytics to improve impact in applied conservation.

Tevin Temu is a data scientist passionate about leveraging data to conserve wildlife. With experience in Python and data visualization, he focuses on transforming data into impactful solutions for environmental management and conservation.

Dr Lydia Tiller, Project Coordinator. 
Dr Tiller completed her PhD at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, University of Kent. Her research looked at how land-use change in the Trans Mara district in Kenya is driving human-elephant conflict and elephant movement. She also worked in Thailand, studying elephant cognition and carried out her Masters research in Bardia National Park in Nepal. Lydia is an editor for the journal ‘Pachyderm’ which is a specialist journal about elephants and rhinos and she is also a member of the IUCN African Elephant Specialist Group. She has also worked for Save the Elephants in Tsavo Kenya and presently the Head of Human-Elephant coexistence at the Elephant Trust.

Eric Gitonga joined Wildlife Dynamics in October 2024. He has a background in Electrical Engineering, having worked as a hardware designer for some years before branching into photography. After a decade he made the switch to Data Engineering, a skill that he uses in his work at WD to manage the data pipelines used by the various organizations that WD works with.

Project Coordinator. Dr Harry Fonseca Williams. Dr Fonseca Willams holds a Masters of Science (MSC), University of Exeter and Doctor of Philosophy (PH.D.), University of Reading. He is an avid explorer and conservationist, and has worked as the Chief Scientific Officer for ToxiVen Biotech and served as chairman of The Leaf Charity. Dr Fonseca Willams provides on site project coordination and training on EarthRanger and Ecoscope.

Data Science. Rodney Omukuti. Rodney joined Wildlife Dynamics in 2025 and has a background in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Rodney has a passion for data science and computational research to drive innovation, solve complex biological problems, and contribute to sustainable development in Kenya and beyond. He is currently completing an MSc in Bioinformatics at Pwani University, Kilifi and a core Wildlife Dynamics developer and statistician.

Anil Patel, Senior Advisor.

Anil's day to day at Wildlife Dynamics is partner development, organisational planning and growth. Additionally, he will be helping connect philanthropic opportunities that are aligned with global conservation efforts. Based near Toronto, Canada, Anil will be supporting Wildlife Dynamics footprint in North America.
